Forecasting Love and Weather wrapped up in April 2022, starring Park Min-young — famous for melting hearts in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim — alongside Netflix's own "son", Song Kang (Sweet Home), Yoon Park, and leg-model Yura. It is Korea's first drama built entirely around a weather agency, weaving in real meteorological knowledge and the bittersweet realities of office life, and its relatable, everyday tone earned it strong reviews and plenty of buzz online. Park Min-young and Song Kang even shared a steamy bed scene as early as episode two — a lightning-fast pace that had everyone blushing! Overall, this is a genuinely grown-up romance drama, well worth a watch!

Forecasting Love and Weather filming locations

The mountaintop weather observatory

(photo by: Netflix's Forecasting Love and Weather screenshot) Remember in episode one, when Lee Si-woo hikes up to a mountain weather observatory and happily sends a photo of the sky to his then-girlfriend Chae Yu-jin — only for her to leave it on "read"? This scene was filmed at Gamaksan in Paju. Legend has it that black and blue lights once glowed simultaneously between the rocks of this mountain, hence the name "Gamak" (black rock mountain). Gamaksan is also home to a famous landmark: Korea's longest suspension bridge, Baeun Bridge. If you ever travel to Korea, visiting in October lets you experience the longest bridge in the country while catching the autumn leaves too!
Gamaksan, Paju (파주 감악산) Address: 경기 파주시 적성면 설마리 산23

With its wooden architecture and traditional Korean courtyard, if you love hanok stays, you have the chance to spend a night in Ha-kyung's home!

Seogang Bridge

Si-woo, skilled at reading changes in the sky, walks the bridge among the crowd and suddenly senses the weather is about to shift. This is Wonhyo Bridge, connecting Yeouido and Yeongdeungpo, open to both cars and pedestrians walking along a footpath overlooking the busy traffic below.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (기상청)

(photo by: Netflix's Forecasting Love and Weather screenshot) The most frequently featured location throughout the show is the Korea Meteorological Administration itself — the production genuinely filmed at the government agency's earthquake centre. On forecasting accuracy, Korea's weather agency is ranked among the world's top five or six, genuinely impressive. And the working conditions shown in the drama match reality: staff work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule — a genuinely demanding job.

The Japanese restaurant where Ha-kyung and Si-woo have their heart-to-hearts

(photo by: Netflix's Forecasting Love and Weather screenshot) The Japanese restaurant in the show is actually a tendon (tempura rice bowl) shop, styled like a traditional Japanese izakaya, its warm lighting perfect for an after-work drink with colleagues. This spot plays a key role in developing Ha-kyung and Si-woo's relationship — it is where Si-woo confesses to her, and the two later share a one-night stand. Si-woo's confession is genuinely blunt and bold, asking Ha-kyung outright: "Section Chief, do you like me?" And when she flusters and denies it, he adds: "Well, I feel like you might..." That directness, paired with Song Kang's face, is hard for anyone to resist!
Ichijeon Tendon (이치젠덴푸라메시) Address: 서울 용산구 한강대로72길 11-21 Hours: 11:30–21:00 (closed 14:30–17:30 for lunch break), closed Sundays

The restaurant where Si-woo and Ha-kyung decide to date

(photo by: Netflix's Forecasting Love and Weather screenshot) Ha-kyung and Si-woo have dinner together, only to accidentally run into colleagues from the same team. Si-woo then covers for her so they can slip away, and the two decide to start dating. This restaurant may look familiar — it is indeed Old Mullae (올드문래), which also appeared in the Korean dramas Start-Up and Eighteen Again! A converted old warehouse, the interior uses salvaged parts from a defunct ironworks for a striking industrial aesthetic.
Old Mullae (올드문래) Address: 서울 영등포구 도림로 433-6 Hours: Mon–Wed 10:00–01:00; Thu–Fri 10:00–02:00; weekends 12:00–00:00

Ha-kyung and Si-woo's camping trip

(photo by: Netflix's Forecasting Love and Weather screenshot) Ha-kyung and Si-woo originally planned to stay home on their day off, but after finding Senior Eom lounging in the living room, they decide the weekend cannot be spent indoors, so Si-woo takes Ha-kyung camping in the mountains instead. This is Seolmaejae Natural Recreation Forest in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do — a genuinely well-known camping spot in Korea, and also a filming location for the dramas The Man Living in Our House and The King and the Clown.
Seolmaejae Natural Recreation Forest (설매재자연휴양림) Address: 경기 양평군 옥천면 용천로 510

The restaurant where Bo-mi celebrates her birthday

(photo by: Netflix's Forecasting Love and Weather screenshot) Senior Eom, finally with time to spend with his family, books an upscale restaurant to celebrate his daughter's birthday — only to be delayed by an urgent matter at the weather agency yet again. This restaurant is LUCK Kitchen near Apgujeong Rodeo Station, known for its beautifully designed interior and refined dishes. Apgujeong is also home to plenty of restaurants and cafés favoured by K-pop stars and influencers, so if you ever visit Korea, it is well worth exploring the area — and eating well while you are at it. LUCK Kitchen (루카키친) Address: 서울 강남구 선릉로 818

The Seoul weather observatory

(photo by: Netflix's Forecasting Love and Weather screenshot) Reminiscing about the best moments of their relationship, Ha-kyung and Si-woo both end up walking to the same spot without planning to — the place they had watched the first snow of the year together, the Seoul weather observatory. In Korea, folklore holds that watching the season's first snowfall with someone you love means you are destined to stay together, or that watching it with a crush guarantees you will end up a couple. In Korean, "cheot" (첫), meaning "first" as in first snow, is the same word used in "first love" (첫사랑) — carrying a sacred, almost magical meaning. When Si-woo tells Ha-kyung during that first snow, "If you like me too, let's date," and she tears up and says, "I love you!" — is that not just achingly romantic? Seoul weather observatory (서울기상관측소) Address: 서울 종로구 송월길 52 What makes Forecasting Love and Weather so watchable is that it never limits itself to romance alone — it also touches on marriage, family, and career. Though its ending is understated and content, it feels genuinely close to real life. And life, after all, is exactly that — ordinary and unadorned. Further reading:
