A jjimjilbang is Korea’s multi-room bathhouse culture: wash, sweat in heated rooms, then snack in communal rest areas (think sweet rice punch).
First-timer flow
- Pay entry, change into house clothes
- Shower thoroughly in the gender-separated bath
- Rotate heated rooms / saunas
- Rest, eat, rehydrate in the common zone
Examples
Busan Spa Land, Seoul SPAREX-style complexes, and Myeongdong mud spas (some women-only). Follow posted photography and tattoo rules.
